An idea. A pharmacist.
Year of establishmentThe Pulmoll lozenge was invented in 1946 by the French pharmacist Jacques Lafarge just outside Paris. Its name derives from the Latin "pulmonis", meaning "lungs". The small lozenges were such a great success that further flavors soon followed – just ten years later, Laboratoires Lafarge were producing over 10 million tins a year.

The small lozenge in the striking tin developed into one of the country's most successful lozenge brands.
